Learning to Soar!

We can learn much from an eagle. The mother eagle builds
her gigantic nest very precisely so that it won't come apart
or fall from where she has built it.

Then she lays her eggs, usually 2 or 3. And she dutifully sits
on them until she knows they are ready to hatch. She then
plucks many of the softest feathers from her own breast and
lines the nest with them so the babies will have a very soft bed.

Very soon, the babies hatch and have a very nice life, a very
soft bed, and their meals delivered to them by mother. But,
when they are about 80% grown, suddenly, the mother
eagle removes all the soft feathers from the nest, and the
chicks are left with a very sticky, hard, uncomfortable bed.

But, they soon learn to stand on their own little feet so as
to keep their bodies off of the sticky hard nest. If the
mother hadn't removed the feathers, the babies would
never have learned to stand on their feet and eventually
to soar through the sky just like mother does.

If you are in a hard place today, a place you don't under-
stand, and are questioning why God has allowed this
situation to occur and to continue, remember God is
preparing you, shaping you, moving you out of your
'comfort zone' so that one day you will be able to
soar in whatever He has called you to do.
