Banner Ministry

"We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in
the name of our God we will set up our
banners" . . . Psalm 20:5
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The Banner Ministry seeks to glorify God
and to create an atmosphere of praise
within the congregation by creating
beautiful Banners--all of which bear a
name of our Lord Jesus Christ, together
with colorful decorations/adornments
which help to describe that name. Placed
on the back of each banner is the verse
from which that name is derived.

Prince of Peace * * * * * * Savior

The Banner Ministry has approximately 20
ladies who meet once a week to pray, discuss
ideas for new banners or crowns and work
on the banners/crowns (old and new). You
do not have to be a seamstress to work on the
banners/crowns--just a heart toward God and
a willingness to use your mind and hands to
create something beautiful for the glory of God.

Also, there are approximately 20 men who
carry the banners and crowns during per-
formances such as our Easter Passion Play.
